1. Moissanite is Not a Diamond (& Not a Lab Diamond Either)

It’s composed of silicon carbide and is always lab grown. Diamonds — whether natural or lab grown — are composed of carbon. Structurally, optically, chemically, they’re different stones. A lab grown diamond is still a real diamond with the same carbon crystal structure as one pulled from the earth. Moissanite is its own thing entirely.
